Dr. Tessa Roberts

Co-Investigator & Post-doctoral Research Fellow

Dr Roberts is a post-doctoral research fellow, based at the Centre for Society and Mental Health at King’s College London, with an interest in social approaches to public mental health and neighbourhood-level determinants of mental health. She currently leads a British Academy-funded project exploring how neighbourhoods influence recovery from psychosis in Trinidad, and has previously worked on the INTREPID II programme in India, Nigeria and Trinidad, and the PRIME programme in India. She has also worked on the Lancet Psychiatry Commission on psychoses in global context, the Together to Transform project, the SIRS Research Harmonisation Group, and international advocacy events with the Mental Health Innovation Network. Dr Roberts teaches on the MSc Global Mental Health at King’s College London and leads a module entitled “Society and Mental Health”.
